Hag stones are rocks with natural holes all the way through. They are created over thousands of years by sand, rocks and small sea creatures burying their way into the rocks surface with help from the sea.

1 - By far one of the most intriguing hag stones i’ve ever come across. Really spectacular. 6 large holes (that I can see). So visually interesting.

2 - Absolutely stunning flint hag stone. So smooth in places. Greys, blues, whites and oranges. Gorgeous druzy quartz cave on one side. One large hole.

3 - Very large. Smooth on one side. Slightly rough on the other. Two large holes right next to each other, looks like the number 8.

4 - Similar qualities to 3 but easier to hold. Smooth one side, rougher on other side. With two holes right next to each other creating a number 8 shape.

5 - Beautifully smooth. Fantastic to paint. One large hole, oval in shape. Hag stone almost triangular in shape.

6 - Very large. Bumpy in texture. One large hole. Lots of craters and indentations.

7 - Has an almost bird-like face. Oe large hole. Some craters and indentations. Unusual shape.

8 - Lots of unusual markings and indentations. Five large craters. One large hole. 3 pin prick holes. Very interesting.

9 - Very smooth. Slightly bulbous shape one the top. Could be painted. Very small quartz cave, some surface quartz and veins.

10 - Lots of lovely brown/orange tones. Five large holes. Two holes have small pieces of flint stuck in them. Lots of indentations and cool patterns. beautifully striking hag stone.

They have traditionally been used as protection amulets. People have been known to carry them around for luck and also hang them up around their home for protection.

Some also believe they are linked to the Fairy realm and are connected with other telluric beings.
